Bike Rides and Other Adventures

Hallo Liebe Familie!

  I hope every ones week was a good as mine! also I hope you are ready for a bombard of pictures because I have 2 weeks to send home. So we got to go to this place called Dome last p-day its in Erfurt and its a beautiful Catholic Cathedral. Since me and Sister Weber are the only sisters in the zone we always have to plan everything. So we called all the Elders and set up times. We were so excited!!! We all meet up.. Which your supposed to avoid large gathering of missionaries.. But it was really only like 10 of us. We have the smallest zone in the mission. We went to the dome and walked around it was so beautiful the pictures look horrible because we couldn't have flash but it is what it is. We then went and got a brot.. They are everywhere. Lisa they put those hot dogs in New York to shame.. These are huge brots and they put them on these little rolls.. I don't know why. But its so good, and they were only one Euro. so not too shabby. We then met up with the Elders again to play sand volleyball. IT WAS AWESOME!! I love volleyball. So it was starting to get close to 6 where your p- ay ends and we had made this huge point that you have to be on a certain train to get home on time.. Of course all the Elders make the train and we don't. so we were like okay we can catch the next one and have 30 min to get ready and have an hour to proselyte. So were on this train we have ridden it a lot of times.. We kept looking out the window and there were all these little towns we kept passing we were both like these are so cute.. like 45 min had passed and we should have been back to Jena by now.

This is where we got lost in Bad Kösen ha ha

We realized we were supposed to change trains at one of the stops and missed it. We jumped off the train and ended in Bad Kösen.. No idea where that is. We were another hour out of where we needed to be. We were going to get to Jena at 6:55 and FHE starts at 7:00 We were in jeans from p-day so we got off the train and ran to our apartment and back to the church. We got there at 7:05 very impressive. But that was a very exciting day! 

Tuesday we had service at Bernd Studz we got to paint with motor oil again.. That is always an adventure. We painted these bunny cages that he was building for the bunnies; obviously. But they are going to die from the oil. It was sad. We were talking to the Elders, while we painted the cages, they built a headstone for the grave he was building. Not sure for what, but that's what they had to do. Elder Bezzant was there on a split with Elder Watts and they kept asking me stuff about my life. like random questions, and then they said okay we have you figured out.. I was like oh okay.. I didn't know it was like every ones goal to figure me out. And then later Elder Hawker called and says Sister Meggles your weird and I cant figure you out. They are so strange! But I love them! And no one can tell me and Sister Weber apart of the phone, even though we sound nothing alike. I sound like a man and she sounds like a normal woman. So we mess with everyone.. But it was really funny I was like we sound like a girly man.. And I was like but a beautiful man!

Speaking of Sister Weber, everyone seems to want to know more about her. She is from California but goes to school at BYU. She is seriously awesome! I got to so lucky to have her as my trainer. Its really sad, so normally you have a trainer for 12 weeks.. Which would mean the end of the transfer right before Christmas. But She goes home the end of this transfer so October 31st. I have to have a new trainer for the last half.. I about died when I heard that. I love her I don't want her to leave. But we have so much fun together. We are a good balance. I am crazy and she is just quiet and mellow She keeps me in line for the most part. But I also think its hard because a lot of the times the Elders just come and talk to me because I am loud and funny I don't know. But she mostly just sits there. So I try and get her to talk to everyone but its not her personality. But really I learn so much from her of the missionary I want to be. She is one of the best missionaries in the mission right now. She had her exiting interview which was really sad.. It means she really is going home. But I am grateful that I was able to know her.

We also had splits this week with Coburg.

 

 

 

 

 

 I feel like that might be the closest I ever get to Nürumberg. But it was really cool to see a new place.. I had a split with Sister Goodrich.. And lets just say after that split I was even more grateful for Sister Weber! But we get there and we were talking about our plans for the next day and she mentions biking to the church.. I was like um what? And she was like yeah this is biking mission. And I told myself I wouldn't get called to a bike area because I won't wear a helmet​                     I  guess the joke is on me.. But It was seriously so much fun!! I loved bikes. My legs were on fire after that day was over. And also we woke up late that day because Heaven knows I won't be the one to get us up on time, so we woke up late.. 7:30.. And that's sad that that is sleeping in on a mission, We hurried and got ready and I was in personal study at 8 it was a Coburg Miracle. I also had my first Ice cream in Germany.. Its delicious.. Its a problem. I gain weight by looking at a piece of bread. But that day was crazy.. We had a 2 night split because it takes 2 hours to get there so we got there Thursday night and left Saturday morning. On the train home we had to listen to a conference call that was funny.. and then we had to catch a train to Erfurt because we had a meeting and Sister Weber had her leavings interview. So I was just with a few of the Elders all day it was so much fun! I am everyone's favorite I am not even going to lie.. They all tell me that I am one of the best Sisters because I don't get overwhelmed with everything. I though that was funny.. But then me and Elder Robinett were arguing about something dumb and they all told us we are going to get married because we fight all the time. We laughed but neither of us denied it. Elder Robinett said. ' Okay

I will become an Alcoholic just so I can hit you when we get married' He is so mean to me. But after he told me he really is grateful for me and that we are friends., And so am I. Some of the other Elders also complemented me. One called me a stud.. One told me I looked like his red headed sister but then he said it was just that I reminded him of Her. So it was a good thing. Elder Watts said I was salty and saucy.. not sure what it meant but he said it was a good thing. Elder Mayne He is one of my favorites He told me I am sassy and Chill I was like okay I can handle that. So we chatted awhile we have a lot in common we are going to be good friends. But It really was a great day, I met a lot of really cool people.

Sunday was fast Sunday.. Its so much harder to fast as a missionary because you are always going so your always hungry. My stomach was growling in church it was embarrassing. Bruder Gottschaft kept laughing at me and He asked if we would like to join them after church for lunch. We said sure thanks. We went over to there house, and of course Germans don't eat anything light so we walked in and it smelt amazing. We sat down and I saw Rot Koh. and I knew we were going to have roladen.. I'm sorry I don't know how to spell anything. But sure enough they put rolanden down. It smelled so good. They made theirs kind of like grandpas but it had carrots in it and the gravy was like this mustardy tomato basil stuff it was incredible. I loved it. After they gave us a ton of chocolate and gummies and we left like puking, we were so full. We had an hour before we were supposed to go eat again at the Schwendimans the senior couple that is here. We got there and it was quiche, It was so good but I couldn't eat all of mine and its rude to leave food on your plate. When Sster Schwendiman left and bless his heart Elder Watts was like here switch me plates and He ate the rest of mine. After he told me that he had never done that for anyone especially not for a sister. But he said He didn't know why but he would do anything for me. I told you all the Elders love me. It really is always an adventure.

I am learning so much and have such amazing opportunities. I wouldn't change for the world. I am learning so much of the person I want to become. The things I am learning now I wouldn't change for the world. I am so grateful for the gospel and the blessing it brings to my life. I know this church is True. I know that Heavenly Father knows each of us. I know Jesus Christ lives and loves us. I am grateful for the Atonement and that every Sunday I have the opportunity to partake of the sacrament and renew my covenants each week. I am grateful for the opportunity that we have this week to listen to conference and to hear words from the prophet. I invite all of you before conference starts to think of something you need help with or you want an answer to. And if you sincerely listen to conference with an open heart and mind the spirit will testify to you the things you need to hear. I love you all so much! I hope you have an amazing week! I pray for you and think about you all the time! Don't forget to read the Book of Mormon and pray every day . And you will see blessings in your life. I love you and miss you! have a great week!

Oh. My. Worte

Dear Familie,

  Well this has been yet another exciting week in Deutschland! I love it here! Its so beautiful and green and lovely. So after I got off email we went and did our little errands for the day. I also got this really cute wallet, its red Lisa, you would love it! But we just kind of walked around before FHE. There is this store kind of like H and M but better and they have these reallz cute shoes I am going to get. hehe.. But anyway we went to family home evening and we had a really good lesson on gratitiude. We all talked about what we were gratiful for. Of course I cried when I talked about mine because that week I was grateful that I was able to call home and that I didn't pass out on the plane. YAY! But it was really good.

Tuesday we had service. It was so funny we were walking over to this old mans house where we serve and this guy was across the street and waving and was really excited to see us. He ran across the street luckily there were no cars and he ran up to me and awkwardly held out his hands for me to hold so I like sat there for like a second and was like okay.. and he was like are you a pretty mormon girl too? I hesitated and said yeah... And then he jumped up and down and then put a hand on mine and sister Webers head and started stroking our heads and looked into sister Webers eyes and said I am in love. She was like oh really, with who? And he says you are just so lovely. My soul gets so warm when I see you, and he looks up to the sky and says Thank you Jesus. We both were like okay we have to go and we ran across the street. Seriously one of the weirdest things of my life. He was crazy. So we went to our service and its for a man named Bernd Studz He is this old man that lives almost to the mountains if you can call them a mountain... But he just has little random jobs for us to do. We painted his fence with motor oil.. We were like okay. He was like it makes it water proof. The wood was seriously decaying. He said make sure to get really good in the parts that have like holes. like the knots So we poured the oil in the holes. It made him very happy. so after 2 hours of random jobs he made us lunch it was like raviollis. not bad i guess.. So we left him with a message about the Atonement and we were on our way. When we got back to our apartment I had all the letters from the plane every where so I decided to go through them. I remember in some of the letters everyone mentioned something about not being able to read grandmas letter.. But on the plane I didn't see one. I figured it got left out or something so I had the letters and there was something sticking to the botton of the envelope and it was grandmas letter. I started crying. I really needed that. I had been thinking about grandma alot so to read that was really special. The rest of the day was okay I was still kind of sad and well I was really missing everyone so I wasn't in the best mood.

The next morning I was still sad and missing everyone. We had personal study and I had a question in my mind and I couldn't figure out the answer I got so mad so I feel asleep. I was also crying because I was missing my family. So I just tried to push it to the side. We had district meeting it was soo good to see Elder Robinett. He was in my MTC group. We were happy to see a familiar face. I'm glad that I have a few of my Elders with me. Because It makes things easier. I also got to teach my first lesson!!! YAAY! But it was in English so that was also good.. haha We taught Huiying about Chirstmas and the importance of the Saviors birth. I don't know how I am going to make it though Chirstmas. I started crying in the lesson thinking about it. But It was really good. I loved teaching about the Savior. I just love teaching about the Gospel! It makes me so happy!

One night we had institute, we talked about the importance of covenants and the eternal perspective of covenants After Institute the Schwenimans, the senior couple and they fed us. So we were all eating dinner and Elder Watts he is one of the Elders in my district but they are also the zone leaders. So he's pretty funny, we were eating and all of a sudden he was like sister Megli we just ate at the same time.. .I was like what the heck, are you watching me eat? and he was like I took a bite and looked up and you had jsut taken a bite.. I was like okay your a freak. It was funny, And also I'm not sure what started it but every time I say a word is german we look at each other and like point and say Deutsch.. Its so strange but yet its so great and we do it all the time.

Bestfriend.. Get this my compainon is seriously the best! I started singing I like to singa about the moona and juna and the springa.. the Owl Johnson one and she knew it! We have been singing it everytime. She also does the other part when the father hears that voice and I come in and say STOP STOP!! Sing boy sing!! And we sing and dance to the song! I love it! Also we were heading out to Erfurt for a day to do some visits and I needed to see if it was hot outside so we are on the 8th floor and we have a window open. I didn't think about this but I ran and like jumped out the window. I put my arms so I could stick my head out but my arms locked and I starting falling out and I was laughing so that didn't help. I was so scared I starting kicking my legs and was able to pull myself back in the room. Sister Weber just sat there and laughed. It was so scary but really funny.. Mama your probably not thinking this is funny.. But it was. Then we were walking to the bus and there is this like street car train thing that runs right by where we walk. It is never there so we just walk across I didnt even look and I just walked in the street and looked and heard the train but it was so close and Sister Weber grabbed my arm and pulled me back. Thank goodness for her or I probably would have died. Okay well on the postive note! We made it to Erfurt safely. We got to go teach 3 sweet ladies and I was acutally able to talk! I bore my testimony in one and Sister Weber told me it fit perfect with what was said. Yahoo for the spirit!! So that was a really good day! I also had my first Döner!! It was so good.. I am so mad I forgot my camera so there will be a ton of pictures next week!! Sorry about that.

On Saturday it was like service day in Jena. Everyone goes and does a service project. We were with 2 other Elders in our zone and we went to this glass house. We were walking there and we had to go under these water pipes and I thought there was only one but there were two.. I hit my head so hard it was like Instant headache all the Elders laughed at me. So we go to service and we literally took everything out of a room and moved it to a new box and then put it back in the room.. I was like okay.. Whatever you want. They also gave us pizza. its so weird here. This pizza had hotdogs, and pickles and onion rings. I almost threw up. The Elders knew it and were trying to help me eat my portion. because its rude to leave any food. So I have been dying I am eating the weirdest things. Then it starting raining like pouring. Everyone like freaked out and ran inside. I stood in the rain and was dancing and having a wonderful time! Everyone was like now your all wet.. like it was a horrible thing. but who cares I had fun! On our way home sister Weber told me that people are drawn to me. I have this personality that eveyone loves to be around. It really took me by surprise because for as long as I can remember everyone hated being around me because I was mean and negative. I hadn't realixed how happy I am actually am. I have decided its so much easier in life to be happy. to enjoy life and to smile. I seriously say hello to everyone. I love it! Also in Church they talked about how everzyone from Utah is always happy. They said look at Sister Megli she is always happy. It made me feel really good. This is the kind of person I want everyone to know me as. They have this joke that 'Alles Möglich mit Sister Megli hier' because möglich is possible and thats what megli is. So everything is possible with sister Megli here. It makes me feel special.

I had some really cool studies this week. I was really feeling depressed and discouraged. I read in Mosiah 24: 8-12. Its about adversity and how we have to find peace and joy in adversity. It was something I really needed to hear. I was so used to the MTC just having someone there to teach. Where here I actually have to find people. After like 3 days of literally talking to everyone I was really mad. I was thinking I am doing everyting right. I am talking to everyone I am trying my best. Why can't I find anyone to teach. Part of having adversity is being humble. Maybe that was what's stopping me was like I am not being humble enough. I just couldn't figure it out. and I still haven't maybe I never will. But the next day I was studying about Charity and again being humble was what it came down to. I prayed to Heavenly Father for help. I wanted to know what I needed to do. I wanted to have charity I wanted to be humble I want to be the best missionary I can be. Everyday whatever I am studying I feel like it helps me become more like Christ and maybe one day I will fully understand but for now I am just going to keep giving my best and rely on the Lord for guidance and listen to the spirit because thats how I am going to understand. I am so grateful for this Gospel. I know its true I know that I am supposed to be in Germany. I'm not sure why but I know if I trust in God and have hope and do everything I can I will be able to touch the lifes of many. I love you all so much! I pray for you everyday. Remember Heavenly Father lives and Loves us. He knows us personally. If we follow Jesus Christ we will make it back to Heavenly Father. Pray every day and read your scirptures and your life will be blessed.

Hallo Familie!

 Oh wow what a crazy week.. Seriously I hope your ready.. And also the z and y are in different places on the keyboard so it's weird and I don't always catch it.
​Okay, So lets see the plane ride was awful. Well I LOVED all the letters, I will try and write back as quickly as possible but we are so busy I barely have time to sleep... haha. But so the plane.. After I talked to you I literally had to run and find a store to buy some medicine. I had 5 min before I was supposed to board the plane. So I found some dramamine...? I have never taken motion sickness pills so I wasn't sure how it was going to be. So I took like 2 to start as we were heading off.. I was litterallz going crazy I was so excited. I am actually going to Germany! Oh and of course on the plane it was so fun.. I was sitting by Sister Ferris.. and Elder Kress. Man they made that flight bearable. Elder Kress is really nice he could tell I was struggling when we left the SLC so he tried to talk to me to get my mind off things. he showed me pictures of his family and talked about them. I was doing better but I still felt like throwing up. But I didn't. Spoil Alert. He had also given me a blessing the night before and He came up to me and thanked me for letting him do that. He had never given a blessing and It was a really good one. I could feel the spirit so strong. He told me He had never felt the spirit like that. It is something neither of us will forget.. It was really hard to say goodbye to him.

Okay that was random this whole letter is going to be because it was a random week. But we are on the plane and it probably took me 3 hours to read all of it. Seriously it was the best thing ever. Thank you for everyone who took time to write one. Well after that I starting feeling sick so I took more of the medicine. That was a bad idea.. I was out. I think I slept the whole flight. I remember waking up to eat food but that's it. So we get off the plane, and also they had to check all 3 of my bags because it was too big... oops. So we go to get our luggage and of course the belt that they are on is broken, So we wait like an hour before we can get those, then we headed out that's where Sister Norvak.? was and she took pictures of us. She talked to us for awhile.

We thought the President and his Wife would have been there or anyone reallz... They forgot about us. So we called and they freaked out and sent the APs over. We got out stuff and put it in the van. Then thez told us we were taking the trains back to frankfurt.. That took a million years. We got on and off at least 17 times. The Trains are crazy here.

Oh and keep in mind I am drugged from the medicine on the plane so I am litteralz falling asleep walking. I was so dizzy,. It was the weirdest I have ever felt in my life. We finally get back to I think was the church.. We had interviews with the President. I think I feel asleep I don't remember it.. All I remember was him asking me Are you tired sister Megli and I said yes and He said maybe we should get zou to bed.. And I remember eating pizza and then next thing zou know its 6:30 the next morning. I slept for like 15 hours. Crazy.

This was the hotel we stayed in for the first couple nights. It was so cute & small.  Dino Liza is enjoying it too!

 So the next morning we were to get up and go have breakfast which was seriously bread cheese and meat, and nutella and crissants. It was lovely. I can feel me gaining weight by looking at the food. So we sat there until we were called to come into the conference room where we would meet our new trainers!!! YAHHH I was so scared I almost peed my pants.. Which is another thing they don't have is bathrooms anywhere. And you pay 1-2 euros everytime. So you hold it. Anyway, so we go in and they tell everyone there new companions.. except mine and Sister Ferris. We were last. really.. I let out this weird squeal thing I was so nervous. They held up our pictures and I thought seriously this is so cool me and Sister Ferris are going to be with each other.. But we are close she is over by Nurmberg in fochs? I am horrible at spelling. I also freaked out because I knew that was the other area that was open and I thought I was going to where papa had served but I am sure I will make it over there. They tend to keep the missionaries on the East over here so that would be cool.. So Then I knew it was me! Sister Weber stood up and I did and we were like yaahaha!! I didn't even hear where I was serving. So we met and I was like where are we going and she said... .JENA!!! My first area.. I didn't even know where that was. I was so excited! So normally we would have just gone there but because Elder Ballard.. Close dad.. was speaking the next day we just stayed in Frankfurt. We went out contacting for 8 hours.. That's along time IT also started pouring. while we were walking. It was so fun! So we get to the street display and I was like okaz great what do we do? Sister Weber just starting talking to people so I figured okaz sweet. She handed me a Book of Mormon and I was like I will talk to anyone but zou have to take over after she said okaz. so I had my one liner..`´ Haben Sie yea dass Buch Mormon gehört?` and then she would talk about it. It was scary but fun!! I was talking to real people! I couldn't believe it! We did that forever and I was like I need food. So we got my verz first german food. It was a currywurts.. It was gross. It was a brot with curry sauce on it. I decided I would get it without the sauce next time. But it was good. kinda. We had a drunk man sing to us and I didn't know what he was saying so I just smiled and waved. Apparently Germans are mean when they are drunk. and I saz Hi to everyone that's also something they don't do.. So I am going to change Germany!! I will say hello to everyone. so that was fun we also had this guy come and bible bash us. lucky there was like 12 missionaries so we could all back each other up. Elder Strong was there he is hilarious. He makes funny faces. He kept looking at me and my face must have been in shock because he kept laughing at me. I hope I will get to serve with him sometime. So that was an eventful day we were late getting back so it was dark and they don't have alot of street lights here so we walked back in the pitch dark. all sisters. We finally made it to the hotel and slept.

Next day we got up and headed out to hear Elder Ballard. It was so good. It was amazing to hear from a apostle. He told us to work harder and to treasure up the words of Christ and in the moment the words will be delivered unto us. When we have the spirit with us always. Reallz good. So right after that we had to say goodbye and head to our areas. I found Sister Ferris hugged her and bawled.. Haha I love her so much and am so grateful that I have met her.

So we meet our zone and headed home. We are the onlz sisters here. But I am in Elder Robinett's district.. haha he cant get away. it will be fun to still have someone I know. The zone leaders cant say my name or choose not to so I am sister Meggles. I love it. There are some really great elders in our zone. I am excited for zone P-days. 



This is our apartment. It's so cute and surprisingly big for Germany.

 

Sis you will love this.. I am have to shower in the morning and every day.. I hate it.. hah And I actuallz wake up on time.. Its a miracle. But its funny Sister Weber is a runner so she runs in the hall and I just kind of sit on the floor because I dont know how to work out.. I did a few sit ups I think I slept for some of it. I'm not really sure. So this is going to be interesting. We also study for what feels like 10 hrs everyday. But I am learning alot. We have this thing once a week called GEMIKO? I'm not sure what it means or what it is. I just go and sit and I have no idea what's going on because why.. Well I can't speak German. I am reallz starting to get overwhelmed by the language I feel like I can't understand anyone. But I am being positive. And I am trying my hardest. It wils come I know I have onlz been here for 5 days. The people are reallz nice in our branch.. of 20 people. I guess I'm not in utah anymore. everzthign is different. In Church there was no one there so I didn't have to bare my testimony so maybe next week.. this z and y thing is reallz annoying. But the branch is so cute and lovelz people. They all want to help me so they said they are going to have me speak german to them more.. yay. I am so scared And so they made me say the closing prayer. It was the best prayer in German I have said thus far. . But on an exciting note we alreadz have a babtism! October 18 her name is Huiying. She is chinese and speaks english.. YAHOO! she has been investigating the church for a year and half and finally decided to get baptized that will be so cool! random note we had to go to the store and so we went in this mall like clothes all around and there was this random grocery store in there. It was so strange. but I guess that's Germany. I will get used to it.

 

Well that's just a glimpse of my week sorry its so long I just have so much to tell everyone! I love you all so much! I love this gospel I know its true! I am grateful to be serving with Sister Weber in Jena! Its amaying! I love it! I cant wait to go out and work and actually have a real lesson! I alreadz love it so much! Don't forget to read your scriptures and pray zou will see changes in your life! Learn to rely on the Savior. Let Him be your best friend! I love you! I hope you have an amazing week!

I LEAVE TOMORROW!!!!

Hallo FAmilie,

 

  Well this is it. I leave tomorrow. I am so scared and exciting and terrified and feeling every emotion I think I can. I just want everyone to know how much I love each and every one of you! I love this gospel so much! I love being a missionary I love my life!! I feel so honored to have known all of you, and to see the blessings I have in my life because of you. I know I wouldn't be able to do this with out all of you! I know the Lord is helping me with everything. I have learned so much on how important it is to rely on the Lord. They tell us in class here to get to the point that he is our best friend. I can honestly say He is my Best Friend. I can tell him anything. He will always listen to me. He can help me with my problems. He lives and He loves me. I know Jesus Christ died on the cross for me. He atoned for the sins of the world. I know the Atonement is so real. I have seen it bless my life every day. My favorite thing to teach investigators is the importance of the Atonement, it always brings tears to my eyes. When they understand that we can be forgiven of our sins and they can be happy again, You just cant help but thank Heavenly Father for everything we have been blessed with. I can see the Lord's hand in my life and in the life of my investigators. I have felt the power of the Gospel and I feel the spirit every day in my life. I know without the spirit I could not teach it even says it in the Book of Mormon Without the spirit you can not teach. I believe that with my whole heart. I feel the spirit so strong everyday and I never want that to leave. I love all of you so much! I'm sorry this letter is so short. But the next one I will be in Germany!!!!!!!! It will be amazing! I cant wait for tomorrow. I will be starting this new wonderful chapter in my life! I love this gospel and I know its true! 

Don't forget to read your scriptures every day and Pray every night and morning and you will see the Lord's hand in your life!

Week 5---Last P-day in the MTC!!!!

Halllo  Familie! 

 

One of the last pictures of my District.  I love them all so much and will miss those going to Berlin.

   Well this is it. This is my last p-day in the MTC!!! Yahooo!! This has been the fastest yet longest 6 weeks ever. I am so excited and terrified!! I feel like spiritually I am so ready to go and serve. But I feel like I cant speak German as well as I would like to. But I know I will learn it soon in Germany. This week has just been crazy from everything as soon as we got our fight plans it was like oh man we have so much stuff to do!!! But we couldn't worry about that we had to focus on our investigators. And when we did this we had the best lessons. I'm sorry I feel like this letter is going to be really scattered because my mind is going like 100 mph... I don't even know what to think. I am SO excited to talk to you on Tuesday! I will be crying so hard I probably wont even be able to speak. Just to hear everyone's voices I cant wait!! I have been praying every day that I wont pass out on the plane again... That would be super awkward. I am going to ask the Elders for a blessing before we leave. Its so sad that we have to say goodbye to 3 of our Elders. I love them so much!! It makes me cry thinking about it. we have became so close. They are like family to me. I wish we could all stay together our whole missions! But I am grateful that I have gotten to know them, I know we will be friends forever. 

 

  Something crazy happened this week. So President Petersons wife, Sister Peterson every time she saw me she would tell me I look so much like her granddaughter, every time I was like oh cool I bet she is so nice and funny and beautiful.... haha just kidding I didn't say that. But then on Sunday they come in our class for our little lesson that we have every Sunday and after the lesson she came up to the sisters and said I have to give you all a hug I love you so much, She came up to me and said and of course one for my Erin... I was like what the heck.. How does she know my name is Erin. So I asked her who's Erin. She said my granddaughter is Erin.. But she spells it Erynn.. I was like that is my name!! We both kind of cried because I reminded her of her granddaughter, and she reminded me of Grandma. I really was homesick that day. By the way grandma, Papa said you were going to sneak in here. I have been looking for you every night. Maybe next week. I wrote in my journal I miss being called precious by my Nana, and being rocked in her chair and all of her kisses. I am crying trying to type this letter. I think it is finally hitting me that I am leaving and I wont be home for 17 more months This has been a very emotional week. I am sure this one will be even worse. But along with it being so emotional It has been so spiritual. We are teaching R.J he finally was understanding the whole concept of the gospel every time we would talk to him you could see the joy and happiness that our message was bringing him. Yesterday was our last lesson with Him. I knew I wanted to commit him to being baptized, We started talking about the importance of it and why its important. I asked Do you think its important to follow Christ in everything we do? He said yes! So I said even Christ was baptized and went into the blessings that we get from baptism. and I asked him if he would be baptized. I didn't have the whole baptism question memorized but when I spoke it and I asked Him it was the perfect German I have ever spoke. It was amazing I really felt the Lord helping me.I could feel Heavenly Father softening His heart so He would accept baptism. I was so happy! I couldn't even explain to Him how much Joy He was about to experience. There was so much love and the spirit was so strong in that room. We closed and were leaving and he said thanks again Ill see you latter. I started to cry. I knew I wouldn't get to teach Him again. Even though it was just a role play I never once thought of it that way. I loved him as a person and I wanted Him so much to just accept the Gospel! And when he did you cant help but be excited and happy for them, and you cant help but thank the Lord for putting them in your life. After he always gives us feedback, He told us we are wonderful our German is not perfect but the amount of love and passion we are trying to say it in comes across and you cant help but feel the spirit. It was a testimony builder for me for sure I finally felt like yes I can do this! I am a missionary, Heavenly Father is going to help me. All I have to have is Faith. 

 I love this gospel so much I love everything about it! The people I have meet the experiences I have had. Everything I wouldn't trade it for the world. 

I was reading in D&C I believe 34 and it talks about the second coming and how its our job to prepare the world for the time of the Saviors coming. I couldn't help but get goosebumps as I read it. I am helping bring the good news of the gospel to the world. I am helping them prepare for the coming of Christ. I thought about when we reenacted the Book of Mormon and when we got to go up in the middle of the night and the Savior came. I will never forget the feeling of touching the Savior. I gained a testimony of the Savior. He lives and Loves us. He wants us to help bring this knowledge to the world. I am so grateful for Jesus Christ. 

 

I feel like I don't really have much to say. I am just so excited to go and serve in Germany. This is really happening. This is real. I am so nervous and excited! I love all of you so much!! I hope everyone knows that. I am sorry if I haven't emailed or written you back. Time is limited but I want everyone to know I am grateful for your love and support. I keep thinking about when I get home. And how it will be. I cant wait. Maybe everyone could be in lederhosen (?) at the airport. But until then I am giving everything I have to the Lord! My whole heart is in this. I don't want to look back and have regrets. Everything we do we either learn or grow from it, So we shouldn't really look at it as regrets but rather learning moments to help us be better people in the future. I know my life has been forever changed because of my mission. I am so grateful to be a missionary and to Teach the gospel to the world I love it so much! I love all of you so much!! Thank you for being a part of my life and helping me grow and become the person Heavenly Father wants me to be. Don't forget to pray and read your scriptures I know it will bless your life in ways you wouldn't even think. Never take anything for granted. live each day to the fullest.

We had Christmas in September!! Me and sister Ferris wore plaid skirts and the light hit the pine tree perfectly it looked like snow.. It was a magical moment for me. I love her so much!!

 

Sister Ferris and I love LOVE taking pictures haha We decided that we are going to be best friends forever! She is from Washington but she goes to BYU so it will be really fun!



Classic Missionary photo. I love this gospel so much!! It brings so much joy to my life! I seriously everything about it. Sometimes we think its so hard to be a member of the church. But really it couldn't be easier. God has given us the book of Mormon and the gift of the Holy Ghost to help us. We have familes to help us learn and grow. Everything good that is around us in our life is from Heavenly Father to help us in this life so we can be the best we can be, so we can live with him again.! I love this gospel!! I love being a missionary!! Never forget to thank Heavenly Father for the blessings he has given us! I love you all so much!
